FacilitiesFloorplan of flat   The flat itself is on the first floor of a two storey block of eight flats, and has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room with balcony and a fitted kitchen. There is a sofa bed in the sitting room and the accommodation is fully equipped for six people.

Equipment in the flat includes a CD & cassette stereo with a small selection of classical CDs and books in the bookcase. There is an iron and ironing board, a couple of tennis rackets & balls, beach mats and umbrellas and a few toys for the beach, all housed in the kitchen cupboard. Linen and towels but not beach towels are provided - please note that you will need to bring your own beach towels.

The lounge has air-conditioning if you need it, there are also fans in each room and mosquito plugs for the summer. In winter the air-con doubles as a heater, plus there is a plug-in radiator and rugs for the floor to take off the chill.

Gas and electricity are all included in the prices shown.

The communal swimming pool, tennis court and water gardens can be accessed using a swipe card. This black card will be inside the Guest Folder when you arrive.

La Parata community & history of the flat  The La Parata community started as a small inland development, as opposed to a beachfront development. Being situated 1km away from the beach led to having its own pool, tennis court, bar, restaurant and mini-supermarket. Some of the residents live out here permanently, others, like ourselves, bought property as holiday homes. Chrissie purchased the flat in the late 1980's, as somewhere warm, close, but relatively unspoilt to get away to. Since our first trip out both La Parata and Mojacar now (inevitably) enjoy more visitors, although this area remains less built up than other parts of the Spanish coastline. Certainly the vast improvements to the local highways has made for easier airport access, and some people have understandably cottoned on to the tourism opportunities in the area.

We do not let the flat commercially via any agencies, but prefer to do it on a relatively informal basis to family, friends, friends of friends and colleagues.
