Thanks to the wonders of the internet, we were able to send home intermittent group emails about our adventures. That might not sound amazing now, but it certainly did back in 1999.

Our missives may not have always been the most welcome thing for our friends & family back home to read at work on a Monday morning, but they gave us a lot of pleasure to write. And we hoped that they'd give people a flavour of our adventures.

As you will see, the longer we were away, the more carried away we got with writing. It must've been all that reading that we were doing. Hope you like them...
