​In July 1999 James and Kate set off to travel the world.

Three continents and one year later, these 2 intrepid explorers made it home to the UK.

From dusty backpacks and blisters to a State of Emergency; from beautiful sunsets and mad cocktails to ceremonial dances; from desert wilderness and tropical rainforests to teeming metropolises - this website tells the tale of a fantastic year out.

Oh, and in July 2003 they got married :-)
